  • a long time since...

it has been ages since i've blogged and when i say ages..it so has! like 2 months almost..

Just a quick recap and some highlights of these past 2 months

Over the past few months, it has mainly bieen work (i got another job at Kikki.k as well as working at myer) so that will definately keep me busy over the summer. Harley and I have been eating at various places and satisfying our picky tastebuds at various resturants in Sydney....like the spanish one near mammas, definately a highlight! We also visited the motor show and there were some very expensive cars i tell you but alot of the bigger brands didn't show up this year for some reason that the newspapers were babbling on about! There was also Mia's 18th which was a wonderful opportunity for everione to catch up and it was great seeing all the girls (and guys).

exams were hectic as hell and very stressful knowing that i did not noe much and they ended (at last) on teh 17th! finally and with the end of exams, it signals the end of one year! a whole year since we've done the hsc, a whole year since we've finished high school and a whole year that we've been in uni and started the next stages of our lives. Hopefully, the results of teh exams reflect the amount of hard work that has been put in through the term.

I turned 19th last SAturday and being on a weekend during exams..it wasn't much of a celebration except spendin the day with my textbooks. But a big thankyou to Harley for making it the best day of my life with a wonderful present and a real nice and romantic dinner at Cafe Mix in Shangri-la! Also, happy 6 months to Harley for the 11.11.08 and i know you've heard it from me heaps of times but i really do cherish and thankyou for the days that you've spent with me. You've taught me to believe in and to love again and made me believe in something odd and funny called fate!

With the end of hectic few weeks, based mainly around exams, on Tuesday and until today, Harley and i jetted off to the goldcoast with Cow, Eliza, Pat and Harry. On arrival on Tues, we were met with rain and more rain but we prayed to the rain gods and our wishes came true with sunshine late on wed-fri. Actually, a bit too much sunshine caus i'm sitting here peeling like an orange! but we visited Movieworld, Wet n Wild and Dreamworld. Thankyou guys for such an awesome week with a real nice house by the river! It sure was relaxing.!

Excited about the next 3 months with catching up with friends, relaxing, working and definatley jetting to Taiwan. Pictures later caus i just got off the plane! but hope everione has an aweomse and well deserved summer break after a year of hard work!

    Forever - Chris Brown*

Haven't been up to much lately except the countdown to my much needed holiday which is in 2 weeks after this one.
And 1.5 years or there abouts of actual uni left.
Having to look for new houses due to the realy bad rusty and mouldy sme ll and the dirty dirty dirty kitchen, the bogan neighbours and the freakiness at night for next year.

Over the weekends, Harley and i decided to be adventurous and go to places and eat. He took me to this real nice jap resturant that i did not even know existed which had technologies that amuse simple minds like mine. The decor of the resturant was very traditional with big wooden booths which really gave the privacy that you would want. But the best part of it all was the fact that you got to order all your food on a screen and the waiters seem to just pop up at your table as soon as you've put your orders through on the screen. Very amusing and really sure did make my meal all that more entertaining.

This is a picture of the screen with Harley not looking very eager about the food, which he should have been.

the rainbow sushi that was real good.

Also, due to Lisa's constant mention of T2 teahouse and the awesomeness of it, i decided to do some research about it over the weekends and unfortuantely although there are heaps of T2 shops around only Hornsby and Macquarie centre had teh actual teahouses. So on Sunday, i dragged Harley and we went on quite of a walk around Macq centre to find this legendary teahouse and i must say it was well worth it. The decoration and the dark lighting really accentuated the oriental atmosphere and the origins of tea from Asia - walls of all different shaped and sized teapots, newspapers, dim lighting and can't forget the unique tea. I had a apple and rose tea which i forgot the name of but it was very yummy indeed. So if any of you are around Macq shopping centre, definately go and look for the tea shop!

My drink...it looks much better in real life

Then we adventured to north sydney cause i wanted to show Harley, Strewth (a cafe with really nice food that we used to all go to while in high school) and having not have been to crows nest in a while, we found that it had either moved or shut down. Don't know...but it was gone!

And a few other places where our picky tastebuds have taken us!

A cafe at Beverly Hills that we decided to go to one raining night. Thinking that it would be good cause it was so packed and indeed it was. Here's a pictures of my Toberlone pyramid. Desserts always the best part of a meal!

My cupcakes that i was overly obsessed with getting from teh cupcake shop on Pitt st! They are pretty aren't they!

However, today i found out the wonders of abnormally fast internet and unlimited download at my uni library. The computer lab is like the only bright, modern and colourful room in a very gloomy concrete building. (no offence to my library but it's one of the ugliest structures i've ever seen). If i could and wasn't so scared of walking through the forest of my uni, i would stay longer at hte 24hr computer lab, but unfortunately my uni takes after a bushland.

I can't believe that for most of us, internet was invented in our lifetime. To think of it, when we hear people say the TV was invented when they were young the first thing we think of is "geez they're so old", yet one day our kids will say to us or think "geez your ancient" caus internet was invented when you were young. The world is a funny thing..

Anyways, haven't seen my girls in a while but hopefully that will change with the holidays coming soon! Parties? not many recently either.
But for now, it's back to work and spending time with friends here and there.
Hope everyone's holding up well and their midsems have gone through smoothly.
    That's all now folks
    xx

  • long time

It has been ages since i've last blogged, about 2 months or so.
Over these two months, Myer has been a bitch and hasn't given me shifts due to a tight budget.
Hopefully, i'll get some around Christmas time but in the meantime..
i've been spending some time in Newcastle well as much of that time i can in Sydney
been seeing lots of Harley who's been very nice about my lack of income
and spending some time at home
and seeing my girls a few times here and there

Still got a persistent and annoying cough ..the remains of a really a weekend of being in bed.
but one good thing came out of it - i learn the difference between a cold and a flu
I haven't done anifing else particularly interesting in a long long long long long time - no clubbing, no parties makes me miss high school life and not like the responsibility much.

a few more weeks till holidays more like 3 can't wait
    noah's ark
plans about taiwan to be worked out - COME ON PECY lets go in jan =)
and right now i'm so bored out of my brains...not wanting to work

    xx

  • Sometimes we prefer to hear lies becasue that's the way we want things to be and it makes life a lot easier

Sometimes we choose to believe those lies and to hear those words that its okay because

we don't want to have to deal with reality.

Sometimes we don't think enough and we make choices that may have hurt someone else.

Because in reality we take alot of things for granted and just expect them to be there and not leave.

LIfe is about making lots of choices, it's about prioritising things and our life is a product of our choices.

    Maybe i care too much.

"And in life, it is all about choices we make.
And how the direction of our lives comes down to the choices we choose."
  • back at home

    Labels or love - Fergie*

Exams have been over for about one week now - as of last Wednesday and it feels so good to be at home. I don't think i realised how good home was until i actually moved out and really makes me appreciate everything that i have at home.

Love being able to see all my friends
Love being able to sleep in my own bed
Love just being able to get up and doing nothing all day.
Love the feeling of no stress and having to wake up and think what to do today.
    Love home cooked food.

Drove back on wednesday had dinner at my uncles and then met lana janet and pecy for a few drinks. Spent thursday catching up with lisa and today went and saw Sex in the City and had dinner and a few drinks with my beautiful friends.

Saw Don't Mess with Zohan with my boy on the weekends - funniest movie ever; i reckon it's funnier than Zoolander and Dodgeball (which are my all time favourites)

Sex and the City it was a long and good movie. I think it was a good closure to the whole series and think i'm going to spend a few days going through the whole six season! But love the clothes and the shoes those girls have. Seeing their clothes, shoes and not having to worry about money, huge closets...makes me think one day =) maybe just one day.

Hope everyone else is enjoying their holidays =) well deserved rest for almost half a year of hard work. Time flies...it feels so short but we've done like half a year of uni already. Not long to go before we're all grown ups and moving out and going into the real big world! Guess that means enjoying all the fun things, getting out and enjoying our lives when we're young!

Bank account also declining and stupid myer aren't earning enough money so that means 7 weeks of no work for casuals. Still haven't figured out how i'm going to keep up with my spending needs. Guess i need to cut down and live off my parents for a while. I don't get any shifts while i'm on holidays and they seem to pile it on when i'm at uni. bad timing i guess.

    xx
